If the adhesive is fireproof, you could use it to rescue people from fires when you can't get into a house through a door/window. You could also attach it to your clothing or tie it around you; if you jump into water to save someone, it will make sure that you don't get lost or drown. It could also be woven into a net to use underneath of trapezing or acrobatic routines (ex. Cirque de Soliel). This kind of technological advancement would save lives when, usually, it would be impossible.
